5/23/11:

4/19/11: Today we recieve the new rescue truck, we would like to thank the county for purchasing the truck for us. Please check the "Apparatus" page for more.

3/31/11: Today we recived our new engine, its a 2011 Pierce Velocity and it will serve as Engine 2. See "Apparatus" page for more information on it.

3/22/11: Crews are on scene of a woods fire endangering structures, they have been on scene for about 3 hours now. The fire is 80% contained at this time. Units on scene are E1, E2, B1, B2, SVFD T1, SVFD T2, SVFD SQ1, SVFD E1, NBVFD Engine 27, and CRFD Tanker 2. Further updates will be given as we recieve them.

3/9/11: Today we had a lot of severe weather, with it came damaging winds and heavy rain. At this time Engine 1, and Brush 1 are out assisting citizens with cleaning up debris and pumping water out of low lying areas.

1/21/10: Earlier this week Engine 2 was struck by pickup truck while parked at a staging area in Springbrick. The truck has suffered extreme damage, it is unknown at this time what the department will do about a replacement.

1/1/11: On behalf of everybody here with the Brickland Park Volunteer Fire Department we would like to wish you a Happy and safe New year.

12/24/10: Everybody here with the Brickland Park Volunteer Fire Department would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Years! So far it has been a mostly quiet holiday season for the department.

12/15/10: Utility 1 is finished and is at the station ready to begin service. We would also like to congradulate Chief Pollard on his re-election last night.

12/11/10: Today Ladder 1, Engine 1, and Engine 3 take part in the Christmas parade.

12/6/10: Today the Brickland Park Volunteer Fire Department is officially a member of the Lego Metro Fire District.

12/5/10: Department board along with area officials meet with developers of the new Brickside housing project. The project is scheduled to be a new house complex and will have it's own Police and Fire station. Running the station will be done by BPVFD or SVFD, if niether can run it a career department will be made. With the close proximity to the loading docks and large commercial area, "The Port" board will pay for a new piece of fire apparatus to respond to that area. We will update after the next meeting, on the 8th.

11/25/10: Engines 4 and 1 run for a possible structure fire.

11/3/10: Engine 5 runs into Springbrick for Extrication, see the "Incidents" page for more.

11/1/10: Engine 3 enters service at 0700 hours, Engines 4 and 3 are awaiting their first calls.

10/29/10: Today the department recognizes the one year of service from Engine 2. We would like to thank NBEA for building such a great piece of equipment.

10/26/10: The BPVFD has just taken delivery of the new tanker, a 2010 Kenworth to serve as a tanker and it also carries rescue equipment. Check the "Apparatus" page for more information.

10/25/10: This morning at 0800 Engine 3 was removed from service with the BPVFD. The new owners Sunbrick VFD came to pick it up and take it home with them, the truck will enter service as "Tanker 2" and will replace a 1987 Seagrave pumper. With the tanker gone we are expecting the delivery of our new one any day now, rumor is today or tomorrow it will show up.

10/20/10: Today Rescue 1 is moved to a more strategic response area, we do not know where it is being moved to at this time. We will miss the truck, but with it gone we have more room ni the station for more apparatus and other things.

10/16/10: Engine 4 enters service at 0700 hours.

10/14/10: Word from the city of Springbrick says that with many budget problems some areas are gonna have to be cut back on. The fire department is on the chopping block, if it is cut either Brickland Park or Lego haven will take control and will recieve all three of their apparatus including a light rescue, engine, and a ladder truck of some sort.

10/14/10: Today the department takes delivery of a new Pierce Velocity engine please visit the "Apparatus" page for more information.

10/13/10: News from the LAMBAS, the rescue might be moved to a more suitable location for the truck to respond out of. Giving it a better response time to the area, and having personel assigned directly to the truck.

10/12/10: Early this morning at 0435 the station was alerted for an Automatic alarm at the Magnolia Apartments. Engine 2 arrived to smoke showing, it turned out to be a small fire confined to the kitchen units cleared within the hour. Units that responded are as follwed: Engine 2 and Engine 5, no injuries were reported.

10/5/10: Rescue 1 enters service, and Engine 1 runs mutual aid to Codyville for structure fire.
